The League of Women Voters of Dare County will hold public candidate forums for the board of education on Monday, Sept. 30 and for the board of commissioners on Thursday, Oct. 3, according to League of Women Voters press releases sent on Sept. 16.
Both forums will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Dare County Administration Building, located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo, and both will be livestreamed in Buxton at the Fessenden Annex, located at 47013 Buxton Back Road.
Aside from Buxton, livestreaming will not be available on forum days.
Broadcasts of both forums will air on CURRENTtv’s Spectrum Channel 191 (Government) on Oct. 4 at 10 a.m., Oct. 10 at 7 p.m., Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. and Oct. 30 at 7 p.m., according to the releases.
Recorded forums will also be available on the Dare County League of Women Voters’ YouTube channel and on CurrentTV.org.
Voters are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates ahead of the forums via
https://lwvdarenc.org/submit-a-question/, according to the releases.
The League of Women Voters of Dare County is a nonpartisan civic organization, and the forums“will provide voters the opportunity to learn about the candidates and their positions on key issues impacting Dare County,” the releases said.
